Managed by Henry Ford II, Ford wants to be known as a company that makes fast cars, so they hire auto designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) to build a car capable of breaking the Le Mans record held by Ferrari. The conflict arises when Shelby (Matt Damon) wants the driver to be Ken Miles (Bale), while Ford wants someone who is more of a “team player,” as in, “do whatever we say.” But it is precisely the fact that Miles thinks for himself that makes him such a great driver. A company can put anyone behind the wheel and teach them how to drive — but to drive like that requires something extra according to Shelby (Matt Damon). That something extra proves not to be so corporate friendly.Genre: Action, Biography, Drama, Racing

The chemistry unfolds from the fact what makes anyone great is usually that they are doing it not for the money, but for the pure inner interest. James Mangold is directing this new Matt Damon movie from a great script by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Jason Keller, “Ford v Ferrari” unleash sheer humor with a story that probably doesn’t seem all that exciting at once. This upcoming Matt Damon movie is expected to be the next blockbuster in the Hollywood upcoming action movie, 2019. Telluride Film Review: Christian Bale and Matt Damon in ‘Ford v Ferrari’
Most racing movies are about rivals, but not so “Ford v Ferrari,” which, despite its competition-oriented title, is actually the story of two friends, Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles (played by Matt Damon and Christian Bale), who partnered with the Ford Motor Co. to beat Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
